airbags

Importance of checking air conditioning on a used car:

Airbags are an essential safety feature on many modern cars. It provides inflatable restrain in frontal crash. Some cars also have curtain side airbags.

What to look for when checking airbags?

Airbags cannot really be checked easily, because they are canceled inside the steering wheel and inside the dashboard. Usually dealerships check those for you and unless there is a reason to believe the car has been in an accident, the chance of missing or broken airbags isn't really high.

If no AIRBAG lights are on on the gauge cluster panel, the airbag self-check system didn't find any problems with them (provided the system is functional). However, it is still beneficial to ask the seller if airbags are in place.
